Bouvardia plant

BOUVARDIA is one of the 30 species of the evergreen herbs, which has its origin in the tropical America. They are about few meters tall and are not common flowers if one looks closely and it contains some clustered of flowers in leaves which is carried by stalks. Each stem in it resembles a small kind of bouquet which in bright vibrant colors, which has a scent odors from it. The leaves of these flowers are pointed and these flowers come in different colors like white, orange and more colors.

These ornamental plants is grown both in indoor as well as outdoor for which several number of cultivars and hybrids have been selected for this purpose. When mainly used as a houseplant a minimum temperature of 8 to 13 degrees of Celsius is required. The plant needs to have topped with a bushy kind of thing and needs to change to at least six to seven pots and at the time of mid summer to move to a cool spot with plenty of air and space to it. This plant is very sensitive and we should clean the stems regularly and at times cut and place in the water solution as well. Enough amount of water made available, as they are prone to water loss and excess amount of foliage removed immediately if found in the flower of the plant.

These flowers mainly used in the bouquet and the name are derived from the Persian doctor named BOUVARD.
