In the second part of this article, we shall continue to learn more tips with regard to plants. They are as follows:
1) Enrich the soil content:
The nutritive value of the soil can be enhanced if you enrich ingredients into the first six inches of the soil. By this technique, your plants will use fertilizer more efficiently.
2) Use fertilizers at the right time:
You must know when to use fertilizers for your plants. Usually, nursery plants are grown in proper potting soil and by the time their roots have extended out, it will be the proper time to fertilize. If you see new growth on your plants, you can then be assured that your plants have adapted to their surroundings and so now they can be fertilized safely.
3) Use the right quantity of fertilizer:
You must not use fertilizers in excess. If you don’t follow the proper instructions, you will end up burning your plants. There must be consistency involved while growing your plants. If you want to use fresh manure as a fertilizer, see that you use it into your soil a few weeks ahead of time.
4) Protect your plants:
Milk can be considered as an incredible fungus and virus fighter in the garden. You can add a tablespoon of powdered milk to the soil around your plants before the actual problem begins. Alternatively, you could also make a spray that can be applied to the infected leaves using leftover or spoiled milk diluted with water. If you find your plants being chewed in half, near the roots, you can then cut a toilet paper roll tube in half and place it around the stem of the plant. Press the tube into the soil halfway. The paper tube will act as a barrier between your plants dedicated stems and the jaws of the cutworm. You can use powdered cinnamon. Do this by dusting the powder damp so that the cinnamon will stick to the plants. Do not use too much of it as it can damage the plant. Sprinkle the powdered cinnamon lightly.
